Mahi Toi
Last week in Te Ngahere we started doing mahi toi. Mahi toi is art and the art we’re learning to do is to draw continuous lines, draw curves, rule straight lines and best of all blend colours. We have started to trace over a design as practise. I did a good job at tracing over the designs and lines, I need to work on making my lines straighter. Once I finished that practise sheet, I was then able to start practising using colors to blend. Here is a photo of my blending. Do you know how to blend?

ReplyDeleteKia ora Nikaia. That's interesting that you have done Mahi Toi before. My best blend was blue, green to yellow because I like those colours. What type of Mahi Toi did you do?
