Waka Ama

Camp

Camp

On 27th of November Te Maunga and Te Moana went on a camp to Coopers Beach. I was so excited because there's lots of activities like beach art, volleyball, a water slide, slippery hockey, confidence course and kayaking. My favorite activity was the water side because the water slide is long and it is nice and cooling. There's also two trampolines. They were very bouncy. Next, dinner was beautiful. What we had for dinner was burgers. I wish we can go to Coopers beach again. Please comment on my blog post.

Science

Paihia School has been learning how to do science. I did well at making my plane a great shape. I could do better at adding more things on my plane to make it different. I like doing science at school. Do you like doing science?

First aid

In Te Maunga we have been learning about our to save people. I did well at finishing my book first. I could do better at working much more better. Also I had a great day learning how to save people.

Life Ed

In Te Maunga we have been learning about other peoples life's. Also we were learning about what we can do to help them. I did well at saying answers. But I think that I could do better at saying better answers. Also we really like to go to Life Ed.

Chapter Chat

In Te Maunga we have been listening to a story called Ghost. Te Maunga has been doing chapter chap tasks. The task that I did is drawing a wanted poster. My wanted post is about Ghost. I did well at my drawing and my writing. I could do better at making my drawing more bigger so people can see my drawing more better. If you don't know what chapter chat task are. They are task that you do about Ghost the story.

            

                

learn goals

In Te Maunga we have been finding some learning goals for us to learn and achieve our goals with Whaea Becks. My learning goal is talk about learning. The people that I have been sitting with to achieve my goal is Rikesh,Tayla and Lilli-Rose. I chose to sit next to them because I haven’t worked with them and I know that we will all talk about learning. I think that I almost achieved that goal. But when I achieved that goal my next goal could be started straight away. Then I could do better at achieving that goal.

In Te Maunga we have been learning to write a persuasive writing to Mrs Lindsay. I did well is finishing my writing in one day. To make my writing better is add more writing so my writing is exciting to read. Mrs Lindsay is Paihia Schools awesome principal.

Dear Mrs Lindsay,

I am talking to you today because I think the school should have this awesome Maths Hub website at Paihia School.  It helps us find activities to our goals, it is easy to use and very clear to see. It will help teachers save time for other school work. I am very excited for you to get this maths hub website

It can help our learning more if we have that maths hub website. It will help our learning by finding activities that we need to learn and it has videos that we can watch.

It saves time for the teachers to work on other things for the school. Also if we don’t have it we won’t be learning as well as we should or we can’t progress in maths. It will help us find things to help us achieve our goals. It will also be very helpful for the whole school because it has the activities for us to learn.  

It is easy to use and It is clear to see. It is the same as our I can’s and it is not confusing for us.

It helps the teachers find activities for our goals and we don’t have to sit on the mat and wait for the teacher to tell us what we have to do for maths. We can find the website really quick too.

That's why I think Paihia School should have this website.  Don’t you want to help out the school? So please can you get that website for Paihia School we would really appreciate

Some of the people in Te Maunga has been learning to do some maths actives with Shirley. I did well by focusing and doing the right thing with Shirley. I could be better at writing a little bite faster so I know what things I can finish off.

Te Maunga has been learning to do a inquiry presentation to show our family on family celebration. On my presentation I did well at finding answers that was the main thing. I could do better at adding more pages to explain more about the celebration that I did

In Te Maunga we have been learning to say things around the classroom In Maori. In our class we have made a slideshow on our own Chromebooks. What I did well About my slideshow is that I was very proud of myself. On my slideshow I could do better is that my slideshow is show more Maori words.

Te Maunga has been learning to do persuasive writing on their Chromebook. On my persuasive writing I did well, very well is that I was working on my goal. My goal is using more full stops to make my sentence more shorter. In my writing i could do better is work on my goal more thow so I can be better at doing that goal. So i can get better at doing a different goal. what is a persuasive writing? A persuasive writing is when you ask someone like your mum if you can go somewhere or get something. you have to try and bairg them to get it.

Toku Ako

We have been learning to do our Toku Ako so we can get started for the day. I did well on my Toku Ako because when i do my spelling test i get my words all right because i learn my spelling words. I am finishing my must do's. When Te maunga can do can do's we have to finish our must do's. Our must do's are like doing selling reading and blog commenting. Also can do's are like when you play a game and Wonderopolis.

What is a Toku Ako. A Toku Ako is like this you have to put the first thing at the top of the box's. Like i put reading to self at the top and i linked it. Be side read to self it has x3 that means that i have to do it 3 times a week here is a photo of my Toku Ako          ⬇⬇

Beach Ed

Te Maunga has been learning to write some of the bits that we did at the beach.The bits that I did well is that I got to be the leader of my class at the beach.I can do better is that I can make my powtoon intersting.

Anyahs writing goals

My class Te Maunga has been learning to do our writing goals.The goals that i am higher on is R4. I think that I should work hard on is that i should move on to the next levels.WALT:planing writing goals. 2017 writing goals.

Where am I? copy and paste the definition from above	R4	R3	R2	R3	R4	R	R4
	I spell most essential list words correctly and attempt some difficult words using spelling rules.	I use capital letters and full stops in some sentences and try to use other punctuation.	I write simple sentences that have one idea or a  compound sentences using a joining word like: and, but, because.	I can write a lot of simple words and some extra words to add detail. Noun / verbs / adjectives.	My ideas are on the topic and are beginning to show some complexity. (Personal Voice)		I put my ideas in order or groups and am attempting paragraphs. I use clear pronouns.
How do I know? Give some examples from your writing of why you think you are in that box	I know that i am on R4 because i know how to spell making, watching, burning, awesome, talking, sandcastles, swimming, zooming and through.But i cry do difficult  words that i don’t do that is hard for me like declicous.	I use capital letters in the right spot and I get my sometimes I get punctuation correctly.	I am a R2 because i have compowned writing.also i have long sentence	Because i have a little bit of Metaphors, verbs and Adjectives.	Because i have heaps of ideas but i am adding more detail.		I know that i am a R4 because i having paragraphs.
What next? What are your next learning steps?	To catch up to R5 i should keep on chring and chring to spell	I need to get to R4 by add more commas and eg: and do add more capital letters.	I need to get to R3 by beginning to use complex sentence	To get to R4 i need to use more Metaphors and use Adjectives and verbs.	To get to R5 i should add camplex to my id		Im going to work on  R5 by grouping my ideas together

Tryathlon

Te Maunga has been learning to do a recount.I know that i did well is that my recount has Punctuation and it is good.I should make it better by doing more intersecting recounts so i get better and better at doing recounts. here is my recount.

On Friday last week Paihia School had a tryathlon at the beach.

First Mrs Williams was talking to Paihia School about the awesome tryathlon.

Then we walked to the beach. When we were at the beach we were making sandcastles and I felt like the sun was burning me. Also I was watching the year 8 boys and girls swimming. After that I was watching the year 7,6 and 5 swimming too.

When Mihi finished swimming I ran with her to school. When I got to school

I ran around the field 2 times. I ran fast as I could through the goal post. Then I got a yummy chocolate bar from the teacher, also when I got to school I saw people zooming as fast as they could.

At the end when all of the kids finish doing the tryathlon we had a deliouce ice cream.I was a hungry hipo.

I have been learning how to get NZ writing. The thing that I did will is that I made it sound like me.The thing that I should do better next time is that i should do more Metaphors.

Te Maunga has been learning in Te Ngahere. We have been learning to use screencasify, powtoon and thing link.
I have been do my pepeha off by hart by not using a paper.
I did my pepeha well because I didn't need help that much times and I finished in two days.  I should do better is that I should make it more better.2017 Me pepeha.
